About Me
I have been playing bagpipes since 2006 at age 16, and have been playing professionally almost as long. I have the most experience performing for funerals and weddings, but I have performed at events of all kinds. Check out my gallery or my Instagram for some photos from some of the events I have played at over the years!
Throughout the course of my piping career, I have been fortunate enough to receive instruction from some of the most influential authorities on piping. I also serve as an instructor for students of various levels.
Solo Competition
I am a WUSPBA-registered Grade 2 solo competitor and have competed in hundreds of piping competitions throughout the US since I began competing around 2009. I still continue to actively compete whenever I can find the opportunity, though officially sanctioned competitions are less abundant in the region.
Some of my notable achievements include:
2019: 1st place in 6/8 March in Grade 2 at the 153rd Scottish Highland Games in Pleasanton, CA
2019: WUSPBA 2nd Place Overall Aggregate Soloist in Grade 2
2019: Aggregate Soloist in Grade 2 at the Monterey, CA Scottish Games
2018: WUSPBA Northern Branch Champion Soloist in Grade 2
Band Competition
I joined my first band, the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office Pipe Band in 2008. By 2017, I had achieved the rank of Pipe Major, a title I held for 7 years, during which time the band competed and placed in Grade 5 competitions. I currently compete with the Clan Gordon Pipe Band, and play with the Boise Highlanders and the Caldwell Police Pipe Bands. I’ve also played with several other bands throughout my piping career, including:
The Prince Charles Pipe Band of SF, 2015-2018
The Stewart Tartan Pipes & Drums (now SVPB), 2013-2015
The Irish Pipers of SF, 2011-2013
The Stuart Highlanders of Menlo Park, 2010-2015
